When every minute counts, you'll be glad your district has a site license for this resource. Rapid Response Teams are building-based teams that respond when you can't wait for help - when lives are in the balance - while you're waiting for emergency responders.... when every second counts.

This online resource takes the National Incident Management System/Incident Command System (NIMS/ICS) organizational structure and adds three school-oriented dimensions. In this school version, Task Units become part of the organizational structure; this 90-minute course organizes all of the NIMS/ICS tasks in a more manageable fashion. Secondly, this resource includes software that allows you to build your Rapid Response Team chain of command flow chart which is then housed on our server. This means you can access it any time, 24/7, to make amendments as there are staff changes, or to access it from any internet-access site anywhere in times of evacuation or inability to be in your own building.

Finally, there are four scenarios - more revealing than mere table-top exercises - that are run within the buildings using only a few key people (Task Unit Leaders) so as not to interrupt the learning process for students until the kinks are ironed out. Any of the scenarios can also be used as a school-wide exercise involving students and teachers as well. See the demo of this resource.
