The academy provides cutting-edge concepts that allow those in key leadership positions for crisis response to explore solutions for some of the more challenging school crisis scenarios. Prior CMI training is not required, but definitely helpful. Group size is limited so all will receive ample time for individual needs and addressing specific issues. Day One: Rapid Response Teams (those who respond from within the building when lives are in the balance - your internal, building-based emergency response team) Day Two: Flight Teams (those counselors and others who "fly in" at a moment's notice to support the school in the aftermath of recovery when any kind of school crisis occurs) Day Three: Staff training (taking these skills to the general staff level so everyone has ownership of their own parts of response and recovery). Silver Falls Conference Center is nestled in the foothills of the Oregon Cascade Mountains. Hiking trails weave through forests and around and behind beautiful water falls. There are areas of the river for swimming, cabins are available as are other options including equestrian trails (with horse rentals available on site). Bring the family or friends, and come early or stay after the conference to really enjoy this area.
