New Grants Available Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools Grant Program (Federal Register Deadline: May 21, 2007 [CFDA# 84.184E]) Purpose of Program: The Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools grant program supports efforts by LEAs to improve & strengthen their school emergency response & crisis management plans, including training school personnel & students in emergency response procedures; communicating emergency plans & procedures with parents; & coordinating with local law enforcement, public safety, public health, & mental health agencies.
