The CMIonline Community of Resources
Welcome to the CMIonline community! When you become a member, you have support at your fingertips, 24/7, to get you through crises in the best way possible. Additionally, we are creating the means for you to receive cutting-edge "lessons learned" from our interactions with schools across the country as they manage their events. This is our answer to the fast pace of the changes we see in the challenges we face.
These online resources are not just a collection of "static" resources that you can view or download, it includes continued updating on lessons learned from current responses. That means that it isn't just "What you see is what you get," but that you will continue to receive updates and new insights during the year.
The Essentials package:
- Five videos for staff development
- Handouts to accompany each video
- Over 25 pdf downloads - guidelines for a range of types of crises
- A "Contact Cheri About Your Current Crisis" feature for when crisis throws you a curve.
The Elite package includes:
- all of the Essentials resources, plus>
- an additional 25 downloads more specific to a variety of kinds of crisis challenges
- The entire series of 25 All Staff Preparedness online video segments
- Handouts to accompany each of the 25 videos
- The "Contact Cheri About Your Crisis" feature for possible help in the moment and monthly updates on lessons learned.
Elite Plus includes a series of activities, one per video segment, which allows you to take your whole staff from the awareness level to skill-building. This set can be used one at a time during a staff meeting (each activity takes around 15 minutes, so the total time per segment with activities is about 20 minutes) or can be used for a half- or whole inservice day led by your principal or counselor.
All Staff Access 24/7The standard site license for these is a per-building annual fee, but all staff access, 24/7 can be added. That means that, when crisis strikes on a Friday night, building counselors can send links to the most important segments for staff to view over the weekend. This allows people to be much more prepared in the moment when heading into crisis the following school day.
