CMI Leadership Training
October 30-31, 2007
Crisis Management Institute has moved from the Training of Trainers model, which proved not to be effective for long-term sustenance of a team, to a Leadership Academy which allows key people in a district to come to annual institutes. Participants commit to having a thriving interest in being key people within their own districts to the concept of prevention, crisis response, emergency management, and related issues. This is open to any participants who have had the full Foundational Training (which is five days on-site or a combination of on-site and online learning equivalent to five days of training).
Leadership academies will offer continuing professional development credit or graduate credit trough Western Oregon University at the cost of their fee plus $50. For those who want hours credited by their particular professional associations (LCSW, nursing, counseling, etc.) we must have three months lead time to process our course through their required certification process. This is also true for state mandated professional development (such as Act 48 in PA).
